โ€œWhy did I join Built to Last? It feels like a very long time ago now. It was around four and a half years ago, I believe. I feel like anyone joining the program is joining from a place of wanting to change. I think I was over 16, so I feel like my food choices were poor. My drinks choices were probably even worse.

I was really inconsistent with my training. While probably non existent, probably one, two sessions a week. Nothing was changing just because I didnโ€™t have the structure and the planning in place that I do now. I did my first transformation last July, which I was really pleased with where I got to. I really felt I could build a really strong base, especially in my legs and my knee leading up to my ACL operation in December.

Iโ€™d done a lot of hard work on strengthening and that really helped me then push on the months after into more recovery, which I underestimated a little bit. The first thing I actually thought I was going to do a HYROX in six months and yeah, I was miles off it, but the program I managed to learn about my recovery, the importance of sleep, the importance of my nutrition.

So it was all a learning curve really and how much of an important part of the jigsaw they actually are into having a strong recovery. Allowing me then to when I was back in the gym after 10 weeks to really push on, tick through my physios. My sessions and leading up to my latest transformation, which I feel like Iโ€™ve got into the best shape of my life in to live a life with more energy, more happiness, clearer mindset.

It always helps with work and decision making. And the days that are tough, youโ€™ve just got to get it done and and get your sessions done. And it always helps with having a clearer mindset come the end of it, as you never regret a session. So yeah, I would feel like anyone that is feeling the same and lowering energy to take action now as it would be one of the best decisions youโ€™ll ever make.โ€
